Forensic Vocational Services

The Vocational Experts at Sound Vocational Services, Inc., boast decades of combined experience conducting vocational assessments and providing vocational rehabilitation, job placement, and other services to individuals with disabilities, and individuals who have experienced changes in their marital, employment, and other statuses.

Our non-forensic work with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries; self-insured employers, their representatives, and/or their attorneys; the U.S. Department of Labor; long-term disability (LTD) companies; and private individuals gives us a unique perspective; understanding of applicable contracts, laws, rules, and regulations; current, hands-on knowledge of our labor markets; and familiarity with local training sites, employment trends, and healthcare providers. We bring this expertise to our assessments of how a given set of circumstances impact an individual’s vocational opportunities and wage-earning capacity in the forensic arena.

We are experienced, credentialed, and creative, and bring objectivity and a strong sense of ethics to our work. We are never “hired guns.” We regularly perform work at the request of plaintiff and defense attorneys in a wide variety of arenas in workers’ compensation and civil litigation issues, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Long-Term Disability
  • Personal Injury
